Stay Together at Bear Lake Reserve
Just down the road from Castle Ladyhawke, Bear Lake Reserve is a private mountain-lake community — the ideal home base for the celebration. We’ve reserved four villas, each comfortably sleeping ten adults, and we — the Browns — are covering the cost of these villas for our guests. You’re welcome to arrange your own lodging at your discretion, but we’d truly love for everyone to stay together. For discounted rates, please contact us — and transportation to and from the wedding will be provided for all Bear Lake guests.

A Getaway in Its Own Right
The Reserve is a destination all on its own, with pools and hot tubs, a fitness center, an amphitheater and private theatre, on-site dining, miles of hiking trails, and a mountain lake with boat, jet-ski, canoe, and paddleboard rentals.
Make a Weekend of It
The mountains around Tuckasegee are full of things to see. A few favourites:
Chase Waterfalls
High Falls at Lake Glenville is close by; Whitewater Falls — the highest east of the Mississippi — and Schoolhouse Falls in Panthertown Valley are worth the drive.
Trails & Overlooks
Hike Whiteside Mountain or Waterrock Knob, or take a slow, scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Wander the Towns
Downtown Sylva (don’t miss the hilltop courthouse and Innovation Brewing), the Cashiers Village Green, and the artisan village of Dillsboro.
